About the Centre

What is Inclusive and Equitable Post-Secondary Education?

Picture
  • Addresses the historical and persistent exclusion and marginalization of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Works to break down barriers in education that students with intellectual and developmental disabilities experience.
  • Works to ensure that students will access and engage in the same courses and opportunities as any of their peers.
  • Aims to create an authentic student experience that is coherent with any other student
  •  Seeks out the least difference making approaches to create an inclusive and equitable classroom.
The BC Centre for Expertise in Inclusive Post-Secondary Education is a collaboration between STEPS Forward and Simon Fraser University.
